Prof. Dr. Antoine van Kampen
Antoine van Kampen completed his PhD in chemometrics at Radboud University Nijmegen and has worked on bioinformatics at the Amsterdam University Medical Centers (AMC) since 1997. He heads the Bioinformatics Laboratory and holds the chair in Medical Bioinformatics in the Faculty of Medicine. His research focuses on computational modelling of the immune system and its connection to bioinformatics and omics. He teaches bioinformatics and systems biology in various programmes at the University of Amsterdam and the Vrije Universiteit. Van Kampen was scientific director of the Netherlands Bioinformatics Centre from 2006 to 2010, and currently serves on the steering committee of the UvA Data Science Centre and the UvA ICT for Research committee.
